What is

MICROBLADING?

Microblading is an art form. It's the skilled, manual process of applying semi-permanent make up to eyebrows, in order to shape each brow using extremely fine and delicate strokes. It should only be performed by fully-trained, highly-skilled Microblading Specialists like Karen at Brow Revival.

Ultra-fine deposits of high-quality tattoo pigments are implanted into the skin, using the Microblading technique to make very fine incisions. Don't be alarmed by the word 'incision' - most clients don’t feel a thing and the procedure is almost completely pain-free! The results are worth it, too. You'll have a natural-looking, symmetrical brow shape created using semi-permanent makeup, rather than the permanent alternative used in eyebrow tattooing.
What is

PHIBROWS?

PhiBrows is a manual, semi-permanent Microblading technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing. The shape of the eyebrows is meticulously calculated according to what is known as 'facial morphology'. The highly-skilled technique is intended for qualifying clients who would like to revive their brows, by correcting the aesthetic problem(s) with both brows.

For the procedure and treatment to be successfully performed by Brow Revival, the skin mustn't be damaged, or be suffering from any existing skin conditions such as: eczema, seborrhoea dermatitis, acne, pimples or any damage in the eyebrows area. If your skin is suffering from damage or any of these conditions, PhiTopic cream can be used to eliminate any problems prior to the procedure, so the treatment can be performed. Brow Revival can advise you on where to purchase PhiTopic from.
What is a

TOP UP?

After a client has their initial Microblading treatment, a 'top up' is required approximately 4-6 weeks from the date of the procedure. This top up is a critical part of the treatment. In essence, it is the second and final phase of any successful treatment. A top up is required because up to 15% of hand-drawn strokes can fade and/or disappear in the days and weeks after the initial treatment.

During the first week, the colour pigment will appear darker. This is completely normal! The colour will fade on its own, and the colour will reduce by up to 50% as the skin heals. The healing process itself takes around 28 days, which is why we wait 4-6 weeks to complete a top up. The aim of the top up is to replace any pigment and colouration lost during the healing process. It's absolutely imperative for a top up procedure to be performed, in order for the entire Microblading treatment to be a complete success.
How long does the

TREATMENT TAKE?

Your initial Microblading treatment should take between 2-3 hours to complete. The top up session 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment generally takes approximately 1-2 hours.
How long is the

HEALING PROCESS?

The healing process after your main Microblading treatment usually takes 14-28 days. Skin around the areas of both brows will be red immediately after treatment, and it's likely that you'll notice some light scabbing in the days after the procedure. Both the redness and scabbing is completely normal, is an important part of the healing process - and is absolutely not something you need to worry about!
How long does

MICROBLADING LAST?

Once your MIcroblading treatment and top up have been completed, the resulting revived brows can last for up to 3 years. How long the results will last does, however, depend on elements such as skin type, age, complexion and skincare. At the very minimum, your new brows should last for 12 months. We'd recommend having a top up 12-18 months after having your treatment.
What about

HEALTH & SAFETY?

Every client will need to sign a completed consent and consultation form before the treatment can begin. Microblading isn't possible for everyone.  There are instances which will prevent Brow Revival from performing Microblading treatment. Existing medical conditions, skin conditions, skin diseases and irritations, as well as some allergies, may make it impossible for us to begin your treatment. It's not that we don't want to, far from it! But, we always have our clients' health and well being at the forefront of our decision-making.
